Get Involved!

Public Involvement is a critical component of the PD&E process and is intended to 1) help the public better understand transportation planning, 2) allow the public to express concerns and opinions regarding the project, and 3) result in a final transportation solution that meets community needs and desires.  Project newsletters will be distributed throughout the study and be available for download.  Small group meetings will be held to present viable project alternatives and obtain local input.  Small group meetings will be conducted upon request.  Additional meetings will be held with local agencies and officials during decision-making stages of the study.  A formal public hearing will be conducted near the end of the study to present the preferred alternative(s).  Please refer to the Project Milestones on this site for a general idea of when these meetings will occur.  Before the public meetings, advertisements will be placed in local newspapers and on the website, notifying the public of the specific dates and locations.
